About

Shalini Bhalla-Lucas is an award-winning author, entrepreneur, mental health and social commentator, motivational speaker and the founder of Just Jhoom! – a happiness and well-being company. She is also an accredited mindfulness and meditation teacher, pranic healer, renowned dance and fitness trainer, certified happiness trainer and spiritual coach.

Shalini has taught dance and mindfulness all over the world and has had TV appearances on BBC, ITV, Channel 4, and Kenya Television Network (KTN). She has been featured in publications such as the HuffPost, RED magazine and Top Santé discussing physical, mental and spiritual well-being. During Covid-19 she presented a daily segment “5-Minute Mindfulness” on KTN and wrote for The Star newspaper in Kenya.

She has also hosted her hugely popular mental health and wellbeing podcast “Mindfulness, Music & More” on the Nairobi radio station Capital FM for five seasons. Recently she was the Executive Producer for the sell-out, highly-acclaimed mental health theatre production “The Manic Monologues”. She has also spoken for Engage Kenya and TEDx.

She is the author of 3 books including the Amazon bestseller “Always With You – A true story of love, loss… and hope”, and the self-help book “Happiness! Is It Simply A Mindset Shift?”

Shalini’s personal struggle with mental illnesses including depression, suicidal ideation and anxiety as well as physical illnesses including fibroids, endometriosis, high blood pressure and high cholesterol led her to exploring holistic ways to heal herself and keep her mind and body healthy. Following the devastating loss of her husband Jeremy to cancer, she vowed to help others cope with the disease.

Shalini is passionate about promoting holistic health and happiness, believing that with a little help, we can all get our bodies to heal and live a life full of vitality and purpose.

 

Practice Description

As a Holistic Health and Happiness Healer, my goal is to help people achieve optimal health and happiness in all aspects of their lives. I believe that true health and happiness come from a balance of spiritual, physical, intellectual, relational and emotional well-being.


To achieve this balance, I work with my clients to
identify any imbalances or areas of concern in their lives. This may include addressing physical health issues and illnesses, managing stress and anxiety, improving relationships, developing a spiritual practice, or making lifestyle changes.


One of the key aspects of my approach is to
focus on the root cause of any issues rather than just treating the symptoms. For example, if someone is struggling with chronic stress, we may explore the underlying emotional or mental patterns that are contributing to their stress levels, looking at possible trauma that has occurred.

 I also believe that everyone has the power to heal themselves, and my role is to guide and support my clients on their healing journey. This may involve providing coping strategies and resources, helping them develop self-care practices, and most importantly working with different modalities of energy healing.

Ultimately, my goal is to help my clients achieve a state of vibrant health and happiness, where they feel empowered to live their best lives and fulfill their highest potential. I believe that by taking a holistic approach to health and happiness, we can create a more balanced and fulfilling life for ourselves and those around us.
