Jitterbug Perfume was the quirkiest and weirdest-in-the-best-way-possible book I have read this year. First of all, Tom Robbins is ridiculous. Why are there beetroots on every other page?!
In the book you will find a pagan king running away from death, horny concubines, an early Christian confused community, the Greek God of wild mountains and sexual indulgence Pan, shamans and lamas, a young widow who refuses to join her husband on the funeral pyre, and many more lovable characters.
